I agree with this post. A couple of weeks ago I was driving home and I got behind two civics at a stop light. They took off racing and a car ahead pulled out in front of the civic in the right lane and he swirved to miss the car but instead he hit a tree. Luckily he was ok because he was wearing his seat belt but lets keep racing on the tracks. street racing is just too dangerous and you could get killed.

I figured this post had it's viewers so I will tell a same but different side and I will keep it very short. I have spent almost $20,000 on my Celica bought new at $21,180. To this day now all I have to show is some winter tires, camber links, and a CAI. That's mainly due to racing on the streets, some parts that didn't belong, and some shady mechanics. I killed all my expensive mods and got fined up the ass for being stupid (I got off easy). I never hit any car or anyone in all my years of driving. But let me tell you, you race on the streets and don't care about human life like most teenagers, at least care about the damage being done to your car, take it easy, and slow down you're not driving a race car and I'm sure you're not a race driver either or better than me so forget it unless you have wads of money to spend. Fines and an impound or facing manslaughter should be enough for some racing on the streets, I guess.

If theydidn't wear a seatbelt don't expect me to feel sorry for them. I bet they look really COOL in a coma. If someone was in a lake without a lifejacket, I would watch them drown and not do a thing. Glad to hear you are ok though, not another innocent victim.

My condolences for the injured people.

Fuck the cops! Damn you were lucky for having other witnesses around. You should sue the fucking cops for that. Hire a lawyer and have them make it a case. Just because you drive an import car - they tried to get you into trouble.

You could have been turning into the location of the crash and waited for help to come by and they would have still given you a ticket. Mutherfucking COPS!!

ive done my share of racing in my stang when 1st bought my car and i got caught and lost my listence for 4 month I got of easy
since then i havent race on a main street,
but I have raced on industrial streets on sunday nights at like 11 pm or even later
so no one is out that late on the streets and there are no
intersections, safer but still stupid, but I think part of racing illigally is the chance of getting caught its as big odf a rush as racing and winning.
here in winnipeg if we wanna race on a track we need to go 45 mins to an hr out of the city .
But if someone is racing on a street with an intersection and it busy well then they put people in risk.
NOT COOL, If you wanna race put your self in risk only,
