alrite guys, so heres the story. 2 days ago, on friday of 3/19, im just chillin in my room. i was actually about to go to veilside to ask for some stickers. but anyways, suddenly i hear a CRASH and my car alarm goes off. so i hurry and go outside, and there is is 1988 pontiac grand am in my driveway, and he hit my car on the back. haha, damn it was actually kind of funny because it is amazing how sorry of a driver he was. here are some pics. ill tell more of the story as the pictures progress.

no replies until im finished please. so anyways, the picture on the top is how my car is usually parked in front my house. and the picture below is the way he was coming down. he said that he was driving down, and he dropped something in his car while driving, so he went to get and and he lost control because his handling is bad and ran into my car, almost hit the mailbox and took down that first palm tree which was replanted that day.

there is actually a private school in my neighborhood and they were coming back from a volley game from there, i guess they played for a different school. and since they werent familiar with the neighborhood, they didnt turn when they were supposed to get out of the residential area. only if they turned here.

so the damages. he messed up my rear bumper, it has a tear in it and the styrofoam type thing inside seems broken as well. one of the pieces of my vizage rear went flying off, its gonna need to be repainted. my trd extended exhaust is also bent out of shape. but insurance will be covering this, they are going to call me back on monday to schedule a time where they can view my car first, before i take it over to TPR autobody. i just hope that my exhaust can be fixed back to normal without messing with the TRD logo on the tip, or maybe i can try to get a new one. we will see.

that avalon wasnt there the whole time was it? other wise how did it get saved and your car got smashed... what an idiot. was your car parked in that exact position when he hit it, or was it lower on the drive way? if it was not, then he really went out of his way to hit your car! damn i usually drive almost in the middle of sububan streets... when theres no traffic

the avalon wasnt there, but even if it was, he wouldnt have hit the avalon because when i went outside, the car was literally on top of the first palm tree, with its front tires on the 2nd step of the 4 large steps in my house. it was pretty much parallel to the position of the avalon

do you guys think imma need to get a new rear bumper from toyota? and also, what do you think are the chances of the insurance paying for a new trd exhaust. and yea, it sticks out a lot because it is the extended version, i think it looks tight like that. i orginally didnt know i was gonna get the vizage rear, so thats why i got the extended.

that guy was just an amateur rolleyes

lol but at least insurance is paying for it, and maybe he learned his lesson.

Might as well get a new exhaust & rear bumper.

This happened to my dad last yr. Some lady got out of her car & didn't put it in P, so her Expedition rolled backwards & right into the passenger side rear quarter panel on my dads truck.

well, at least found out who hit you. my previous vw gti was totaled in a hit and run while parked in front of my apt overnight. people like that should eat shiznet and die and burn a horrible tortured death... angry actually, i wasn't that mad but i was like " F#@&!!!" when i saw pieces of my car in the street.

anywho, get that guys insurance to pay for all the damages (rear bumper, exhaust, paint and labor). based on his driving skills thumbsdown, he deserves higher insurance rates thumbsup.

thanks guy for all the support, i really appreciate it. i just called TPR and Zar already knew about it from isaac, damn, ecelica is the best!! but yea, im getting the carbon fiber wing painted because, you cant really tell from the picture, but all the parts that look yellowish in the picture (the edges) are really yellow because of water getting in. but anyways, thanks again, and i will try my best to get as much as possible.

alrite guys, so i got my car back and this is the deal. my insurance, AAA, only gave tpr about 500 bucks to fix all the damages. they told the shop to fix the rear bumper, instead of getting a new one which was nearly impossible due to the fact that there were TWO rips in the bumper and the black thing on the back was broken. although, the shop denied, AAA went ahead with the plan they wanted. they also gave TPR 56 bucks for my TRD EXHAUST! hahaha, saying it was just the exhaust tip although i did need a new exhaust. well anyways, the exhaust issue my father and i will settle it with AAA and make sure i get a new exhaust plus installation at toyota which will be 469.99 + 75 installation at carson toyota since this is what i did before to keep my warranty. as for the rear bumper, TPR got a hold of a used bumper in awesome condition, and they repainted it, and it looks brand new. i got the 2 rear pieces repainted as well, and also my vs carbon fiber wing is now silver. the paint is still fresh (it was painted yesterday) but the color matches fairly well. ill post pics once i get that exhaust in.
