Just wondering if it is possible to take the rear disc brakes off a GTS and replace the rear drum brakes on a GT with them? Anyone.

yes it's possible, you basicly need the entire rear suspension off of a gts to be the safest.

money that's all you need.

Yes it can be done all you need is the gts rear spindles and brake hardware I looked into this already and found it to be a bit pricy performance wise hardly a differance but it sure would look better.

I think the suspension itself can stay the same, its just you need all the components of the brakes, master cylinder, the parking brake, etc.

someone one the boards HAS done this... i just cant remember who, but it has been done.

doesn't trd have a complete set for the gt but it's like 2000 bucks

That is weird in the UK spec cars all the Celica are the same except for the engines, they have brake discs all round on the 140 and 190.

It can be done so good luck in changing the brake drums to discs. thumbsup
