What mph does the stock Celica GT cut off at? What rpm as well? Is it like the base Matrix at 118mph?

I think it's 140mph but others have proven that you can go up to 145-150mph.

there is no limiter on the speed that the GT can go to, but there is a limit on rpm's. its at 6800 (50rpm past redline, or at least thats where i hit the limiter)
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'
is....04 srt4 stock 13.936 100.15mph 2.177 60'

I thought there was a fuel cutoff at 149. I read that somewhere a couple years ago. If I'm wrong I've told a lot of people the wrong info. Haven't had mine that fast to say from experience!!

I've heard both, more people have said though there isnt a fuel cut-off. Im not sure, hopefully someone can clear it up.

Is there a difference with the gear ratios being different from a manual?

I've hit above 140 in my GT, with a little more to go...but I have new internals, and went higher compression (see profile)...I know the RPM cut off in 5th gear is 6,800, but I'm not sure about the top end limiter for the US spec celicas...

Is there a difference with the gear ratios being different from a manual? how i got that exact number was i typed in the stock wheel diameter, and the stock tire sidewall profile, and the 5th gear ratio, and the 6800 rpm rev limit, and the site gave me 138.3mph as the top speed limited by gear ratios. if you have bigger wheels then you would be able to go past 138.3mph, but not on stock wheels and rubber, and stock gear ratio's, and stock rev limiter

we can remap the GT to now. They have a PFC for the GT on monkey wrench. You should be able to get higher rpms now right? Let me know if i am wrong.
