higher compression ratio is great if you wanna go with naturally aspirated horsepower. maximizes the engine's potential giving it lots of power without the use of forced induction but at the cost of using a higher octane gas.

I am pretty sure you can find lower compression pistons, but you will lose power until you turbo.

you can still turbo it you just won't get as much boost but it will still do the same as a turboed GT with more boost
