Yeah, from the dealer's parts dept.

Well yea, i asked at the dealer and they said i couldnt get it and began to give me some BS that it wouldn't fit and so i went and pulled my car next to it and showed the guy the holes would match for the screws and he was like "well i dont know this is a '04 model and yours is an '02" and i was like WTF man its the same thing, then he started saying how the new is better and how it is faster than my car, that just did it for me! Went to the parts store in the dealership and they said they couldn't get one alone, they only come in the whole kit, which to me seems like BS, my dealership knows nothing!?? Anyways does anyone know of another dealership maybe of something like that.?

they're friggin' idiots, dude. 1. it will fit, the hood hasn't changed, just the scoop (as you pointed out, they use the same mounting areas). 2. You CAN buy it alone. You can buy ANY PART alone. Just go to another dealer in your area..

^ the other dealership is the same, its in Harlingen about 55 minutes away and they are very ignorant too. They would serisouly rip me off for the scoop overthere. When i was looking to get my car about 2 years ago they said it was very hard to the car with the action package since they would have to oreder one from Japan and would take about 6-12 months to get here, BS again! Sucks to live in McAllen!!

If you want the 04 AP scoop call Jeff Watson at Champion Toyota in Houston. (1-800-327-2087) He has all the part numbers and prices of the new AP parts and can get them in a jiffy. The scoop is somewhere around $230-$250 unpainted. Most of the parts range from pricey to outrageous even with a 30% discount. Or, you can just buy one of my similar style scoops for $200 unpainted. It's just a stock hood that I whacked three holes in and thickened the edges with 3 oz Fiberglass and studded for grilles. Im not selling them as anyone can do this to their stock hood for practically nothing but the cost of painting. .

Hey did you get an AP hood scoop because urs looks similiar to the Sport M hood scoop?? Nice hood by the way The hood scoop that I modeled for my car and now offer for sale to others that would like a copy is about the same height as the Sports-M/04-AP but has more curvature through the top and the sides are rounded. BTW the 04 AP scoop and the Sports-M scoop are identical. As you already know because you have actually seen it and as shown in the crappy spy photo below, the Sports-M/04-AP scoop is very angular. . . .

I sell my style scoop for $200 in prime plus shipping. In addition, I will pay you $20 for the threaded studs off of your stock scoop if you send them to me after installing the new one.
