how much was it to get and where It was about $300 and it was custom done. It was done by a local shop here where I live at. There are some exhaust systems that have been done for the celica already. There was a post about this before, try to search for it.

there's a company in europe who makes one (don't remember the name) and there's Varis, and they make on in stainless steel or titanium, but since it's a JDM parts, it's gonna cost you an arm an a leg. IMO dual exhaust are just for looks, so if you want it for look, then knock yourself out.
and yeah, it hurts Performance.

Yes, it decreases Performance. It does not decrease Performance. I've had SEVERAL friends with dual exhausts (Y pipe) and they love it. It provides the same Performance as would a regular axel back/cat back system would. I'm going to stick with that untill i see some dyno sheets. The following are examples.
Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

it actually lowers your Performance. The celica is 4 cylinder.. there's no reason to put a dual exhaust on it, other than looks.

Ok Eyger, I'll grant you that with the "Y pipe" you may not lose Performance, but there is certainly no advantage of that setup over any other aftermarket exhaust that has bigger piping than stock. It's just for looks, and as such, it's a waste of money IMO since the whole point of getting an exhaust is Performance (and perhaps the sound, which can also be easily achieved with a single pipe).

Yah yah dude, it's 100% for looks. I just want to try to clear up the misconceptions, because a lot of people ask questions like these. The only reason one would go from a single exhaust to a dual exhaust for increased gains would be like if you had a V-8 engine. And some larger displacment 6's can benefit from it as well. yea even thoguh there is still only one cat that cat still only provides a minemal amount of back pressure most is done by the muffler it would be like getting the trd sport exhaust only weighing twice as much
