I'm so happy that i finally got my car back. I got a new transmission under warantee and a fidanza flywheel installed. First impressions of the flywheel is better responsiveness and quicker revs. I haven't pushed it cause i'm breakin in the new tranny. I heard driving was gonna be difficult, but i haven't had any problems.

how'd you get the dealer to install the aftermarket flywheel ALONG with the new tranny? any comments on the warranty coverage?

they charged me $65 for the install, new tranny is under warrantee still. Its brand new, not remanufactured so i can't imagine having trouble with it. In fact i believe it is a direct '00 replacement because my TRD short shifter is still in and the gates feel the same.

I had the TRD USA clutch installed the first time they rebuilt my tranny. So right now i got TRD USA clutch and Fidanza flywheel.

good deal. thumbsup hopefully i can afford the quaife lsd, trd lightweight flywheel and a replacment jdm trd clutch plate before my 100,000 powertrain warranty runs out because i know my synchros are bad (just not bad enough for toyota to repair it under warranty right now; was already denied because of lack of symptoms: dummies don't know the frustration of being stuck in gear when you're downshifting in a turn or trying to move from a stop).

Yeah, i had to go down to the dealership twice to drive it and show them the symptoms. Mine grinded when i slowed down and downshifted from 4th to 3rd. Also, the would not install a LSD and still warantee the transmission, i was planning on doing a LSD.
