I bought my Gt 2.5 yrs ago, used and certified at a Toyota dealer. Got it with 40K miles and now its up to 95K. A few days after I got it, I took it back becuase I complained about the tensioner and got the tires balanced. It was replaced by warranty, didn't cost me anything. A bout 5-6 months later, I took it back because I was hearing grinding noices from the mannual tranny. Was fixed under warranty. I've had other concerns but they were minor. Now I took it back because when I downshifted from 5 to 4th gear, the tranny would make a cracking noise. It was fixed under warranty. Now a few days later, My when I put the car on reverse, it cracks. And it seems like the grinding noice that was fixed is coming back. Did I buy a lemon? Im very concern because I keep taking my car in for repairs all the time. Does any body have any issue with their tranny?

Well, I had a couple of my friends check out the cracking when I shift to reverse, and they say it was my shifting. Damn I feel dumb. I hit the clutch and shift to reverse really fast. They say I should put it on reverse smoothly. Well i guess its just me and Im just being paranoid about my GT. I hope no more problems arise, since my warranty will expire in 5K miles(2 months).

That would prolly do it lol. At least you know its something on your part and not the cars.
