Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior TRD exhaust?

I am lookin into buying a TRD exhaust system and i just wanted some info on the product, like the loudness, look, and overall performance of it?

as for look, if you do get it go for the extended it will look better.

loudness it has a nice sound between 2.5 - 4K and then it kinda drowns out until you hit lift in the GTS same for the GT but no lift.

It comes with papers saying that it is street legal and will passed the DB limit.

When I had mine it was nice but I eventually when with the TSRM ... sounds better.

I LOVE MINE (and hundreds of people will tell you the same)...not too loud but gives off a nice growl...there is a sound clip of what it sounds like here. go in the search section.

ps-it is recorded to have one of the best if not the best gains...thought the advertised 14hp is a bit outrageous...

so you mean it gives you aroung a 14 hp gain? i was told its only about 5 to 10

I love mine for sure. Before I had a cheap "ricey" muffler that was WAY too loud and sounded like pure crap. The TRD is extremly well crafted, and fits just right. The sound is definetly pleasing, not so loud that you can't hear anything but has a nice performance growl to it. It is probably one of the quieter exhausts out there, but if you are looking for a clean, performance sound then it's the one for you.

btw.. only get extended if you have a TRD body kit, otherwise it will look rediculous.

so where can I get a trd exhaust? dealership? where can I get one for cheap?
