My mom bought a 2003 Lexus IS 300 5 speed, the car is absolutely amazing, its black with gunmetal emblems with awesome 17" lexus rims, the Celica and the IS300 have always been my 2 favorite cars so im in heaven! Theres not too many things i really want to do to it besides exhaust, Intake clear corners... theres an awesome supercharger that makes 450+hp and its only about 4000. Just thought I'd share, ill post pics as soon as I can get my friends Digital camera!! What do you guys think of the IS?

Not really down with the looks of it.
Did she get the wagon or sedan?
And is she gonna let you mod it??? Definitely the sedan, she says I can do the things I listed except not a Turbo or supercharger!

just wondering if you guys had a chance to drag race yet??? "I just drag raced my mom and..." God I hope not. At any rate, glad you have one in the family. Personally, I'd be less excited if my parents bought a car I really wanted... just because I wouldn't feel like it was "mine". I'm weird though  If I were you, I'd just work on some audio/video mods. That car already handles so well and looks so nice... it'd be cheezy to lower it or slap on chrome rims or something.

None of the cars I really want cost over $35-40k. Unless you are some sort of speed fanatic (yeah most of us are  ), most cars over that price are nothing but status symbols.

450+bph with just a supercharger?  I dunno.. Guys, he said his mom bought the IS300 and it's her car, but it's one of his dream cars. In my family I bought my mom her "dream" car. Which would be the red Panasonic Edition Celica GTS.

My step dad got a nice camry, but I've only driven it once in the past year. I am glad you got it, but I don't think our parents would appreciate our "seeing what the car can do" tactics. My car is treated much differently than my parents' cars.
