Hey,

First off, I want a low fairly stiff ride. Also, I don't know if this is possible, but I'm in Indiana, and the snow sucks and as of now I don't really have a winter beater, so something that I could either adjust to raise the car, or if it would be easy enough to put the stock springs back on for the winter.


Was looking at the Eibach sportlines and getting the KYB AGX adjustable shocks to go with it.

Also another thought was TEIN super street coilovers.

I do plan on getting 18" rims sometime after I lower it, so I dont know if that matters at all. I wouldn't mind spending around the $1,000 range for something good, much more would have to have some great benifits, because I can't justify the cost when I would rather have other things more.


So please tell me watcha think would be best for my situation! Thanks!

You want a super stiff ride get coilovers. If looking into Tein get the SS-P comes with a pillowball mount for around the same price if you look around. Jic makes some great ones too. Get the FLT-A2 not their entry level ones. I saw them for $1400 a while ago, again if you look around. Or of course Tanabe Sustec Pro SS or type II for around the same price of Tein SS-P.

if you get hotchkis and kyb's and keep your stock springs and shocks together you can swap em for the winter... it'll take like 2 hrs to do it... no biggy.

Those Tanabes look nice.

My friends got coilovers on his BMW 318I and thats all he tells me to get are coilovers.

They seem so much more exspensive.

Whats the benefits of coilovers over springs/shocks?

once again...ground controls eith eibach springs 600 bucks, i hear some people dont like them but i never really asked why

coil overs are more expensive 'cuz they're adjustable & they perform better.

I have 4 18" Tenzen rims with only about 1k miles. will sell cheap let me know if interested. I can send pics.
