I just bought my celica and I'm trying to find some kind of sports exhaust. I've looked at some but they were like 300-500 bucks. Now here is the noob question, what is the difference from like the whole exhaust which costs 300 to 500 bucks compared to just the muffler that you can get for $150? I just want something to make my car sound a little tough.

I'm goona take a shot at this.
I believe you can't get them for that cheap because :
A) Sport Exhausts are made of stainless steel, or titainum.(expensive)
B) Our exhausts are not simple pipe to muffler to tip. They snake through the rear suspension and the hangers are far apart and in specific locations.
C) You would have to get custom brackets made for the hangers with just a muffler.
D) Aftermarket exhausts are designed to be bolt-on parts for our cars. Alxe-back design not cat-back.
That's all I have to say.

get an Apex-i N1 turbo universal canister and custom piping or shell out the cash for either a TRD exhaust, TSRM, or TRD Kazuma. Don't get anything else, trust me.
