has anyone ever won a raffle for a car in a mall?


well heres the story.. a couple months back me and dad were at the mall, and we saw a H2 for raffle.. my dad told me to fill it out, because who knows, we might have a chance.. so i filled it out.. and a couple months later... i get the call. i totally forgot about the whole thing until she mentioned.. the malls name, and the car that i filled the raffle out for.. well anyway she verifried my name and my address, then she said if i dont win the Humvee then theres 4 other cars i can pick from.. or take 25,000 dollars in cash. she said that i will get a pink slip in the mail, with a phone number that i call to claim my prize right there. she was like congratulations!! LOL... i dont know if its a scam.. but we will find out sooner or later. lol... o yea another thing, my dad filled out a raffle ticket also.. but he didnt get a call.. but i did.. so.. it might be reall... it might not be..

who knows.. i might be 25k richer.. or a 19 year old driving a H2 LOL!!!!!!!

damn lucky you. i went to a concert with my dad and they had a raffle for a lexus, motorcycle, and a electric scooter. We won the scooter .

my friend's dad had a H2 his insurance was like $150 a month

if they say they're giving a car away they have to by law... so you might have actually won

Umm... not to burst your bubble or anything. Ive entered those before and it was a huge scam. When you get the thing in the mail, READ THE FINE PRINT. It said something on mine like I had to visit virginia and by some property down there. And the odds of winning the car (sl55) 1 in 150,000. Odds of winning cash. 1 in 125,000. Odds of winning a free stay at resort. A hell of a lot. And I had to look for an orange slip in the mail. It was funny because me and 7 other people entered and all got calls... Coincidice? (<--spelling) Either way, if its not a scam then good luck, but if it seems to good to be true, then it probably is.

I'm not trying to be a skeptic, but I can almost be sure that it's a scam bro

Don't keep ur hopes up, that way when you do get it... you'll be that much happier. A nd if you don't... then you wouldn't be let down.

i once won a stereo in a raffel... its really nice and i still have it... some sony boom box with cd and tape...

my mom got a call back from a raffel, that told her she "could" have won a suv, a sedan and some money (not all of them, nor do i remember the names of the cars) but the call back number never picked up, and we got fed up and stoped trying... i really got my hope's up on that one, cause she only has one car, and id love to be able to have a second car at her place.

by the way has anyone seen that commershal that has the guy from "the publisher's clearing house" and everyone thinks they have won something, though he is actually spreading the word about a neighboorhood watch...? its inda funny

I've won one of those raffle things. Years ago I filled out an application to win a boat. The owners called me weeks later and basically asked me to buy it. So yes, in my case it was a scam.

Same thing happened to me last week. Except, they called, and said the stuff you just said...and wanted me to visit some new hotel.

its nice to hear they they actually do give those away. I always thought they kept the cars and sold the personal info to advertising companies...

its not really a scam per say but you need to read the fine print really carefully. the people running these are normally people trying to sell you something(ie timeshares,condos etc.)you need to sign a contract with them and buy the thing there selling to be even considered for another raffle of the "so called" car. and these things are NOT localize they have the same raffle all throughout so your chances are really slim to none
i bet yah they'll sell you something theyll call you in to attend a so called seminar and then listen to all there bull

eh they did ask me for timeshare... she was like uhm.. so do you make at least 32,000 dollars a year? i was like no.. lol im only a part time work, full time college student LOL.. she was like.. oh. then we get to skip the timeshare part, and you can go and see what ur prize is!! lol.. so i go over to the other building.. and i won a 4 day all expense paid vacation to florida. but no h2 o well.

I was just talking about timeshares today . One guy I work with went to 2 "meetings" one locked the door and he couldnt get outhad 2 more"closers" come in before they let him out. The other drove him to the middle of nowhere and locked the door and went with the same selling points as he did at the hotel My father in law vacations with the free hotel offers by signing the win a porsche drawing .
Your lucky you cant buy it due to lack of income . oh and when i was in sales we did the same "contest" no winner though and noone ever called to see if there was a winner...

I was thinking all along it was going to be one of those police busts... you know, they send out prize collection notices to people with outstanding warrants, then arrest them as they show up.

never won a car myself..but my brother won a red thunderbird..the new ones 2003 i believe..and he traded it back in for the $$ and got himself the 350 Z..and fixed it up..i was so mad bc my number was one off of his.. o well i dont mind..
