I went to 4 car lots, 3 of which had Toyota dealers.

The GTS (especially 6-spd) is obviously VERY popular, because I could NOT find a single used GTS (of any type). There were only a few GT's.

So anyhoo, not finding anything, I eventually went back to the first place I had gone, and ended up buying a new '04 GTS 6-spd! grin

Yeah, I tried Autotrader, but they didn't have anything that I really wanted that wasn't too far away (that I could make payments on).

And, thank you! cheers

True, true, but I'm guessing a lot of people who buy them don't want to give them back! (Unless they're trading for something even better, of course wink )

Heheheh. Not knockin' the GT, I just didn't want one wink

'Cause if I did get one, well, I want the GTS, then I'd have a car, and want a different one. Easier to just get what you want the first time, yeah? grin

That's kind of an odd sentence. Or it seemed like it to me anyways.

And on another note, what mileage do people usually need to change the lift bolts (not waiting for them to almost break, but a safe mileage).
Of course, I'm babying it right now, so not hitting lift really.

Oh yeah. People actually look my direction when I pull in somewhere. Never seen that happen with my mom's Oldsmobile tongue I love it so far. Can't wait for tomorow, when it's lighter out. Then I can take pictures!

I don't know if lift bolts are a problem on 04 cars... I think those MIGHT have the new ones with the correct taper. Lucky is the resident expert, if he reads this.

Anywho, congrats man thumbsup

Ahh, I can't wait!

And again, thank you thank you! smile

I was gonna pick up a few lift bolts while I was there (no dealers close by where I live, I bought it like 3 hours away) but the part shop was closed already (we'd spent all day looking for a used one. Left home at 6am, left the dealer with the new one after 5pm).
But it's worth it. I hit lift once in the test drive, and I was sold tongue

Hmm. I still need to figure out how to work the alarm. Gonna wait 'til tomorow, since it's kinda late tongue

You hit lift during the test drive? rofl

I took a corner at like 20MPH during mine to test the handling, and the guy freaked.

LOL!

We were on the freeway, so I asked 'em if he minded me taking it up to 6k RPM. He was like, "Sure, go ahead."
So I popped it into 3rd and took off tongue
It was raining a bit, so I slowed down just after shifting - didn't wanna kill anyone. Or soil myself. thumbsup

Ya know, he didn't even ask to see my license, now that I think about it...

Hmm... Nothing until it's at least mostly paid for, and I have leftover money tongue

Then, it'll probably be headers, a cold air Intake, and possibly exhaust. And probably various visual upgrades. tongue

So far, I put some NOS floormats in it tongue
