Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Review - JDM TRD Clutch Kit

Awesome, just pure awesome. This clutch, not like the heavy US TRD clutch kit, is light and very similar to stock except the bottom half of engaging the clutch. I am definately able to feel the exact point of when the clutch catches. I was driving through town and noticed it is very easy to zip through my 6 speed transmission.

There is very little "play" with this clutch kit. It's fully engaged once the clutch pedal is 1" off the ground.

I drove a celica with the US TRD clutch kit and it was similarly to this kit only the pedal was a lot heavier.

The price was $990 for parts and labor at my LOCAL Toyota dealership. I know it's a lot but now I feel like it was worth every penny.

I have yet to use my VVTL-i since I got my car back late Thursday. I am just itching to hit lift.

I recommend this clutch to all you celica N/A or low boost enthusiasts out there.

that sounds awesome dude, is it much better than stock?

it definately grabs harder and faster than stock... i can chirp 2nd and 3rd better now... as for the landing lift in 2nd thing... i'm gettin there...
