Dude DONT get those things...they are just cheap knockoffs...the won't last for shlt...If your in PA call Mark at Springmans Paint and Killer Kustoms he does the conversion (he did mine) He uses the decah hinge and modifies it to open wider and raise higher. 570-546-6794 tell him Wil sent you. He should do it for like 2200 installed

His shop is just south of Williamsport PA...in Muncy. He's a cool guy...you can check out some of his stuff at www.springmanspaint.com [ springmanspaint.com] Just remember with some of those pix, he does what people want him to do..even if it looks like sh*t!! -Wil

My bad, that IS the decah kit in that website!! That is a HELLA Price for it, the best I've seen is 1900. I say order it, and if you want it installed professionally contact Mark...he is a direct dealer
Oh and the Number is 570-546-9467 not 6794 [ 05-17-2003, 11:48 AM: Message edited by: PhatCellyGt ]

I have been thinking about getting these doors for the past couple days. I just had a few questions for those of you who have them:
Do the doors last under normal everyday usage or are they made more for a show car
How hard is it to get in and out
Does it seem to make a tight seal
Do they go up on their own well, or do they take a little tug

Well, I use my car as a daily driver. The doors hold up just fine so far. The doors close just like stock, the seal is not affected at all. The doors don't raise on their own, you have to manually lift them and close them. But, you could make them automatic if you wanted I'm sure. I just don't know what it would cost to do so.

When you lift them, is it simular to lifting the hatch, not to hard to lift, just needs a little assistance. Or does it require some force to lift it up. They look so money on your car, I just need to get a pair.

Do you have to roll the windows down to open the door? Every pic I have seen with the door open has had the windows down.

No, the doors will open up either way, windows up or down...I just happen to have my windows down all the time when I take pix. And yeah, it's pretty much like the hatch...needs alil assitance, 2 fingers and it'll go up

With the doors closed you can't see where the fender is rolled...If you open your door up all the way, look in where your stock hinges are. The part of the Inner fender between those hinges is what has to be cut/rolled.

You can't really get a pic of the hinge because it's behing the fender...all you can see is the arm that's attached to the door.
