apparantly since im the 2nd owner of my celica the previous owner had the sunroof replaced w/ some other model. i dont know if it was broken or whatever but on the back it is getting rusted and peeling up so i took it 2 the dealer and they said since it wasnt an oem sunroof the couldnt do anything about it all i could do is buy a new 1 for $700. is there anywhere i could go 2 get a new sunroof that its not gonna cost me an arm and a leg? i mean its not leeking now and they said it wont 4 quite a while but it looks a little retarded since when the roof is closed you can see the corners peeling up just a bit. any ideas short of finding a wrecked celica at a junk yard and pullin the roof?

well...
find a reputable aftermarket sunroof maker...
problem is that it has to be the same size.

someone on here put on an aftermarket sun roof and it looked alright.. do a search.. i'd do it for you but i got tons of video editing to do for my project =) good luck

the person who put an aftermarket sunroof on his car originally didnt have a sunroof and i think it cost him more than 1000$
i would say save the money and get the oem. cant go wrong with that and has warranty on it if anything happens. aftermarket might rattle more. you can save some money cz this isnt a big damage that you cant drive with

well the car came w/ a stock sunroof, its just the panel i need replaced which cost 700 from toyota i was wonder short of going 2 find a wrecked celica that i could rip the sunroof from does ne1 have a good place 2 go for a sunroof?

you could get a shop to cut you a new peice of glass... and re seal your sun roof...
or you could find a celica at a junkyard and rip off the whole sun roof.. install it and sell yours on ebay
