Does changing your spark plugs really make a diff?
What are the benefits from installing aftermarket plugs?

Don't bother with aftermarket plugs, the ones Toyota sells are the best.

IK16 for GT, IK20 for GTS.

I just installed new ones on my 63K mile 2000 GTS, and what a difference.

Revs better, idles better, starts smoother. I posted a thread with some pics...let me get the link

I agree, toyotas come with denso plugs, they are some of the best around. If you need new ones just go to your local dealer.

Denso Iridiums are what toyota sells, they are the best ones for the Celica.

If you can get them outside Toyota, sweet. My local store wanted $17.99 per plug, toyota wanted $60 (with tax) for all 4. thumbsup

Did you actually use a torque wrench to install those, or can you just wing it?

Spark plugs make a huge difference when one changes them. It's like the car is so much faster, but really its just the power being restored.
