ok i have 2001 celica gts and well anyways, i uses to race mustang v6 and i would be able to take them when the lift is engaged. But yesterday i raced a stock v6 again, and he was actually beat me on at my lift.
waht the hell is going on??.
I've had problem with starting the car lately,it would take about 7-10 sec for my car to start up. Its not the battery, becasue it will start up no matter what, but it would just take way longer. you think that's the problem?

do the basics...change your plugs, clean your MAF, get some injector cleaner. That should do it.

the 2000-2001 GTS breaks the lift bolts, if you under 60,000 miles its under the TSB bulletin. Make an appointment to get em fixed

Ya, I would suggest cleaning the MAF. It's a rather big problem on the GTS, also check your lift bolts. I believe from '00 - '02 the lift bolts were very weak, compared to the newer ones.

the lift bolts are not any stronger on the 03+ MY, they just redirect to load to make them last longer.

they'll need to be replaced eventually.

If the bolts are broken, lift will be strong sometimes, weak others, and sometimes dead. Or it might be completely dead. Unless it's dead, good luck getting a dealer to fix it thumbsdown

Jae man, if you got a automatic celica then i guess you could take a v6 mustang on the highway, did you race the current v6 mustang from a stop? cause i don't know i think a v6 mustang stick would take your from a stop. Then again i don't know i've only driven the 6 sped celica gts!

#1 Clean your MAF...I didn't think it would make much of a difference, but it REALLY does. Try that, and if its still a problem, then you can ask more questions. lol wave
