hey guys i know this is not a celica question but i have a question about the nissan skyline.. is it possibe to move the drivers side to the left side so it would be properly in usa? cus the skylines drivers side is on the right hand side.. thnx again
oh is it? didnt know well i found a nissan skyline r-34 for $7800 with only 29000 miles on it. looks pimp but i dont know why its so cheap. i wonder if something is wrong with the car and thats why the person is selling it cheap or something. its a private dealer. i want the car. allways wanted one of those cars.
A '99 should be selling for a LOT more than that! There must be something wrong with it...like it's missing the engine or something do you have a link to the sale?
lmao...9 grand for a 99skyline. i dont think so, unless there is no motor, or anything...like just the frame or something lol...mabe its 9grand for the motor
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'
im going to convince my parents in letting me get this car if this car is legit. i mean i dont want no car that is going to break down on me when i get it because then i would have to pay a lot more money for new parts... we will see what happens
only problem lol i dont know how to drive manual and i know my parents wont let me get it because its manual which is so lame... i want a manual car. meh i will see what i can do to get this car lol.
9 grand for nissan skyline! hope ur kidding or something really wrong with that car. If you gonna buy it make sure you check it out in person and get a machanic to look out it every inch..strip nake it..
I did a CarFax.com search on it and it came up w/ an invalide VIN. I don't know how to post teh screen shot but, here's the web site. http://carfax.com/cfm/check_order.cfm
I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.
it's pointless to change the steering wheel to the left side, and besides, i think the right hand side looks better in a skyline. it's just all the fee's for importing and legalization that i would worry about
Its a stupid scam. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3660528/ Its not a GT-R, its a GTS-T, the rear wheel drive version of the skyline. It still uses a RB motor but a different form which makes less power than the GT-R. I've seen some stuff like that online too myself. Found a yellow S2000 for $6000 and a 2003 Acura NSX for $14,000. Full of bull*hit! RHD cars are legal but theres an extra fee for having it (thats if the DMV knows) Its more practical to drive on the same side as ur country. If u've driven a RHD car b4, u'll know that you have a tendancy to look out ur driver side window (searching for the mirror) and flick on the windshield wipers when you wanna signal left/right. Making left turns are a b*tch too... can't see the median. Its just not practical to drive on the right side when ur driving in a country thats driving on the left side of the road. Driving on the track is different tho.
OK so I e-mailed this guy Just for the hell of it because lets face it we are all interested so the car is in the uk right now he is shipping it into the states I asked him about hipping it to me in canada he said he would and I would pay the frieght Cool so for I had 30 days with the car if i didnt like i could send it back to him in the original crate he said the care was in mint shape with a motor and running Now here is the catch before he sent the car I needed to wire $2500.00 to him
ya sounds like a scam to me..why would he ask money in advance? not going after that car.. something is up if its that cheap and he wants money before he sends it out is little weird to me.
There are also no brand name references other than "Apex'i Filter". Just aftermarket intercooler, standard racing wheels, full exhaust system, blow off valve (that car does not need a BOV), full sound system. WTF? No brands? There is also no reference to HP or torque numbers. Another thing, the stock GTR seats are insanely bolstered, the ones pictured are not the standard seats, nor are they Bride or Recaro.
It's a load of bullshit. The engine looks more like a Mazda 13B than an RB26, there are not brand names listed, no power figures, no additional wesbite for more info (i.e. where did it come from? who imported it? exactly how has it been modified?). Too many quirky things.
Of sourse its not an RB26DETT engine its a RB25VETT with VVT (this is not a joke I know Nissan motors). The Neo series engine itself is pretty good since it is a very rare engine and has the highest level of VVT nissan ever created. This type of engine was supposed to replace all of Nissans engines, but they were scrapped for the more powerful and more compact VQ series motors. This line of engines also include RB26VETT,the above mentioned RB25VETT,SR20VET, and the SR20VET Bluebird(FWD). The price is completely wrong for this car a 0 should be added to the end. The only thing I can think of that could be wrong is that maybe the VVT is fucked up.
Noo.. its a scam. There was an news report on them recently (unfortunately, i wasnt able to see it). Yea, i sent an email to a guy who was selling a 2003 Honda S2000 for $6000 and said:
Hello there,

The damn thing has "SCAM" all over it. You get what you pay for, and in this case, you'll probably get nothing in return. O cool... I knew of the SR20VET but wasn't sure which car had it. VQ engines are alright for the V35 Skylines but honestly Nissan should stick with the infamous RB motor for the next generation GT-R, FM layout or 4WD.

if it was 7800, it would be like the ad for the 10 dollar mint ford mustang, that the wife sells because she is mad at her husband (wasnt that in a country music video once?)

The only car ever made that has the SR20VET is the Garaiya (sp?) made by Autobacs. They probably could use a version of the RB in any of those but the FM since FM stands for Front Mid Engine placement. The I6 would wreak chaos on the weight distribution of one of those. Unless you put it in transversly (FWD) and would be limited to FWD.
OoO the Garaiya soo nice. Tommy Kaira ZZII is comparable tho. That'd be interesting, Mid-Ship GT-R. Let's pray Nissan takes their time with the next GT-R and make it King of the track once more.
