dammit, i got my front window tints removed.. everything is 20% except for the front windows that have nothing now..looks nasty and uneven.. dammit.. after i go to court and get the bastards to accept my receipt... im going back to the tint shop to get the fronts 35% gosh freaggin dammit...
Not that I am saying the police are right, but you really shouldn't have anything on the front windows. I am not knowledgeable on tint %'s and I don't know how dark you had it before but you have to put yourself in a cops shoes. I would not want to be walking up to some car with dark ass tints all around, you can't see inside. Could get accidently shot.
At least a girl here in Chicago did...not because of tints but she was reaching in her purse for a cell, cop thought it was a gun and shot her, she died. Same thing could happen to someone with dark tints...cop cant CLEARLY see you and might pull his gun out.
No offense, but your before is way too dark for a regular everyday car. It looks really nice and clean but if you are going to be driving it everyday, its wayyy too dark.

I am not sure how it is by you, but out here, you would have a ticket soo fast. Like I said, I am not knowledgeable about tint, but I do know that in my area (Chicago and surrounding burbs) you would get pulled over.
I said it looked good, so not sure whats up with the thumbsdown.

yea i live in chicago and i have really dark tints all around, i've been lucky so far but it isn't my daily driver so that is also a factor of why i havne't gotten pulled over, but usually when i see a cop i roll down the windows so i dont get bothered because they WILL pull us over
I believe the "before" shot looks good...but is way too dark as well...but IMO you should still be able to tint the front windows a certain percentage at least...cops can still see in
same over here.. i live in reston VA, which is like 30 mins from washington DC.. i bet its more strict over here then IL.. i mean i had my 20% tint on my car for a year and a half driving next to cops all the time, they dont really care.. but legal tint here is 50% which is exactly like, see thru.. but i wasnt so lucky last month.. bastard cop was anal and pulled me over even with my windows down.. he was like roll up ur windows.. then he used his lil machine and found out my windows were 23%
uyah i have to take mien off too, i just got pulled over... im hoping my friend could write it off... they also got me for no license plate in the front... =( wtf !

oh i got pulled over for the front plate also.. but they let me go on that one
Thats another thing in Chicago/IL...no front plate and you get a ticket. I just put it on so I don't have to have the hassle. My bf gets pulled over for that and he just acts dumb that he doesn't know how to put it on (he has a grand am and there is a special covering that goes over the plate part, he claims he doesn't know that it comes off).

35% should be okay...i suggest something a little lighter though...just for insurance. 20% all around are pretty dark. that's like isaac's car...it looks super hot though
yeah, it happened a few years ago (less than 5 I believe). I am trying to find the story, I can't recall her name. But I guess as the cop was walking towards the car, she reached for her cell, he thought it was a gun and shot her. That is why you are always told, keep your hands in full view the whole time.
Don't worry, I got limo tint in the rear and nothing in the front, it's not bad at all! Even if it looks nasty to other's, I got mine so no one can see my subs. Looks good!
So you're gonna put on your tint and get another ticket? That's smart...
well my friend got same ticket as me.. but he has 15% all around.. then he changed his front two windows to 35% after he got a ticket..35% which is smokey (meaning you can see the driver) and hes been driving around for about 3 years with those windows and cops dont care as long as they can see you.
and mine is 20% all around and then it willbe 35% in front so it wont be as bad as his.. DO YOU GET IT
cool, just move to AZ for a few weeks get the car registerd there then move back, and if you get pulled over say its from az, and say it came stock like this, and hed be like huh and youd be like its freaking hot there all cars were tinted this dark...
i like living here in colorado, its aways freaking bright, so everyone can get really dark tint, the only bad part is the back window being so dark espcecially during the night, but during the day its so nice
by the way what % tint is that on your windows (i dont have tint yet, my dad does, stock on his camry, bought here in colorado) my celica was bought back in chicago
re-tint right away man. f*ck the police. if you do end up leaving the tint off the front, take it back in and get like 35% on the triangle windows and leave the back one, kind of a sweeping darkness towards the back. its the only way to make that look good.
o man!! i just got my whole thing tinted to 5% limo tint!! soo dark. how did you get caught? moving with windows up or what happened gimme some tips to avoid it! i saw 3 cops today, rolled down windows asap
my windows were already down in front.. the guy just pulled me over and assumed my front ones were tinted.. when i got pulled over he was like roll ur window up...*i was like... FUCK.*
