i have trd "QuickShifter".. its nice.. i like it.. its not that short. so if you wanna go for something short go for B&M or TMW.. as far as shifter is concerned TRD is pretty quick and smooth..

Of all the shifters avalible for our car, the TRD has the longest throw but since it's a Toyota part it will be under warranty. I've heard the TWM has the shortest and B&M is somewhere in between. I've had my TWM for almost a year now and I love it!.. every shift is precise. It kinda clicks everytime you shift so you know exactly when the gears are engaged. Best part of all it only took me about 45min to install! thumbsup

that's lithium grease for the shifter ball, you need to get a tube of it to grease the linkages right spineyes

didn't mess with the linkages...i forget if i put some on the connecting cable (or whatever it is called) though..prob not. i think i just greased up the ball pretty good.

you need to keep your linkage lubricated. it makes things butter smooth, it's why people say the tranny is crap.

Toyota didn't grease them very well, I took a HANDFUL of grease with a latex glove on and smeered the entire set of bushings and moving parts in there, and my tranny feels like an RSX

trd, b&m and twm have about the same reliability. trd is the tallest and longest throw, b&m is mid height but shortest throw due to it's pivot ball design and twm is the shortest height but in between trd and b&m in regards to throw.

i have b&m along with speed source's shifter bushings. real sporty feel. install was easy and it was my first real mod on the celi (30 minute install)
