1. JDM Side markers are they street legal? (like anyone is going to get pulled over for that but nice to know..)

2. Do they have a reflective part on them like the stock us ones?


Only reason I ask is when I bought these and they came today and it had a disclaimer on them saying its only for off road <-- or show use.

Are these any different from real JDM side markers??

Also I think cars have to have an amber/orange reflective part on the side front of the car. Just like theres red in the side rear of the car. (tail lights)

these are the supra sidemarkers...the jdm ones are hard to find...

it's funny how many of you guys are worried... just think of all the people who dont have a spot on their bumper to instgall corners... many aftermarket bumpers dont have a spot to allow them

it was just the disclaimer on the box that got me for a bit..and as Isaac said a some kits dont even have the holes for the side markers

and heck from the pictures Isaac posted up for me of his car they look brighter than stock

it all depends on the the color of your car...
... you picked that color, so now pick the color of your side markers (dont let someone make decisions you probably should be making for yourself )

Yeah but consider I ordered some from Suprastore for 70 (b/4 shipping...needless to say I wanted them BAD) and I got those sh*tty euro ones you can buy off ebay for $25. At least Suprastore took em back and refunded $70. I was NOT happy b/c their pics showed the ones above. So $50 and I got what I wanted seemed like a deal. Sorry to rant but damn how hard can it be to make these $5 plastic markers?

hahaha yea for some reason it doesnt show under Toyota Supra for 97. So I did a search for bumper lens and found it there. took a couple of pages but found it... thanks for checkin erick

u can see its cheaper but they charge 10 something to ship...but still cheap tho

they are technically illegal. they say "For off-road use only" because they are not DOT approved. Doubtful it will make a difference to the cops, unless they truly want to stick you with a ticket!

authentic JDM corner lenses should be dot legal, most of the manufacturers in japan like to cover all their bases, and they usually get them approved by DOT and similar agencies even if they are only intended for the JDM market.

You should be cool with the clears, so long as you use amber bulbs in them.

Interestingly enough, on a black car, like mine, those side markers are a big deal, makes the front-end of your car visible from the sides at night. If they don't have a reflective portion, you should be okay, just remember that if your lights are off, the visibily mentioned earlier will not be as great, not an issue when driving, but nice for when your car is parked in a lot at night, it keeps other drivers from bumpiing into it, especially if your celica is a darker color.

Rave669 thanks you answered my question in one paragraph and nice info.. i always wondered about the jdm ones.. although hard to find.. but these "off road" supra ones will do me fine till I come across some authentic jdm ones if ever
