Yeah, the 1zz is smaller than the GTS' engine, so it should fit in the there. Besides, isnt the dimensions of both cars engine bays the same?

the 1zz and the gts tranny are not compatible, but in europe they do have a 6spd tranny for the 1zz

Tell me more...how much did it cost, and do you have to fabricate anything to make the tranny mate to the engine?

i don't know where talk about a supercharger came from.
read my original post.
i'm wondering about swapping the 1zz into my gts with a t/c(turbocharger.)
the 1zz has stronger internals and can handle more psi than a 2zz. this allows the 1zz to have more boost, thus more torque.. the 1zz already has a more torqy output than the 2zz(not more torque, but more torque per hp)

the 1zz would also have a more linear power curve, so with a Turbo at 8psi, it could be faster than a gts with a Turbo(because gts can't handle that much psi) and i wouldn't have to worry about landing in lift for the insane p0w@

so contrary to popular, cough* cough, belief.. i'm not a complete idiot.

anyways...
coffee is amazing! sleep is overrated

so would a 1zz readily fit on a 2zz's motor mounts?
and yeah, would a 1zz readily fit on the gts' 6 speed tranny?
and, does apexi PFC work with the 1zz?

i would sincerly appreciate an answer to these 3 questions!

If your gonna spend the money for a swap, why don't you just get lower compression pistons for the 2zz and build it up for a Turbo?

just trade your car in for a GT, you really dont need the 6 speed, but for you questions
it should fit never know of it being done, but gts engine can fit in gt so id assume it can be done
the tranny does fit in 1zz
the FC does work for 1zz

werd.

btw DarkMatter, it was good logic thinking to Turbo the 1zz instead of the 2zz. however, the moron that said the gts tranny doesn't bolt up to the 1zz is the true idiot in this thread.

A 1zz engine pushing 8psi would not be faster than a 2zz engine pushing the same. Proportinately (sp), the gain would be greater, but it wouldn't be as fast. Besides, when most people with GTS' get Turbos, they lower their compression rating.
