either color would be sweet.
My solution would be to leave the cig lighter alone and just tap its fuse with an "add a circuit." That will save you a ton of time and no stock systems will get there wires cut.

^^^ The one on the bottom left is the cig lighter fuse, the 10 amp fuse you see comes with the kit. The original fuse plugs in under it (cant see in pic) then the whole thing plugs in where the original fuse was. Super easy, I have my neons, my gauges, my shift bezel lignt, and my AC lights all powered this way.

^^^ Got mine at Pepboys. Run you about $10-$12 each. Again there called "add-a-curcuit," you need the mini fuse size.

you say you did it with your gauges too right??? I've got the s7 gauges coming in later this week...and this would be sooooo much easier than trying to tap into the parking lights, and messing something up...

^^^ Yes did it with all my A2s. See the tap on the far top right? Thats the tail light fuse, tap that to get the gauge lights to come on when you turn the lights on.
Far eaiser and more stable a connection than cutting into the parking lights.

^^^ Oh, add a tip on the S7 gauges, I here if you squish them between a few heavy books it will help with the needles not getting stuck on the raised part.

^^^ Sweet!! The footwells are going down today...I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine, and I'm thinking blue cause I like the effect, and I'm gonna end up with yellow as my underbody...he told me that I should mount a tube of blue and a tube of yellow under the dash for a mixed effect...and all I thought was ...I love the blue...but I'm not sure how it would look with the yellow there too...plus this is gonna be like a $30 mod...not a $75 mod...

yeah $75 is way to high, you can get a pair of 9" "light glow" neons for $25 from www.theneonedge.com. [ theneonedge.com.] I have two pairs footwell and underseat.

just got back from the store...got two 10" blue neon tubes, the wiring parts, switches, etc..., and headlight strobes (why not all at once, right?) for $50.00...I went by the local stereo shop to get the fuse taps (not exactly like the ones above, but just as easy to "plug and play")...he gave me them for $3.50 for two, and the self tapping screws for grounding it into the sheetmetal under the footwell carpet...god I love early weekend projects, and for $50.00...why not!!!

Remember, yellow and blue combined will make green bro. Unless you want green, I would suggest sticking with one color or the other.

cool...
what i did with my footwells was tap into the power wire i had for my gauges... which was connected to the headlights.
so now, whenever the headlights turn on, so do my gauges and footwells automatically... and then i added a switch for the footwells in case i need to turn em off for some reason.

I did the same... but for the indiglo faces I tried splicing the power wire into the existing wire harness. No additional cost for a fuse tap, and the lights come on with the gauges and interior lights. I have a '00 GT and the green wire with the black stripe on the blue harness worked.

seem too much for me..i would just run some extra wires and connect it to my parking light. so when i turn on the parking light the neon will be on too..that's how i did my 2 10" purple neon under the radiator..work pretty good..

Why not run a wire direct to the battery? Controlled with a switch? That way, you have direct power to the inside of your ca for any other crazy shit you wana put it. AND you don't have to add/mess with the factory wiring. I find that the more you mess with the factory wiring the more random weird things happen. Here's a pic of my underdash lights. By the way, get some zipties to attach em up there, there's nothing to really screw em into safetly.

^^^ To the few posts, I like my way just because you don't have to deal with going throught the fire wall and you don't have to cut any wires on any stock system. I agree with the direct hook to the battery but I'm not down with cutting my stock wires, run the risk of over loading that system. IMO, do what ever you want. Like with many mods there is no one way to do it.

I only had half an hour of free time last night, and in just a quick half hour I got the fuse tapped, the wiring run, the tube under the driver's side mounted, the switch put in, and all the power and grounds run... ...I'll finish everything out tonight, but I was pretty happy with the fact that I got one of them mounted and working with no hiccups , and everything cleaned up in just a half an hour ...and yes, I'll use the girlfriend's digital camera to post pics
