so i went for a night drive sunday night.
you know how you notice other celicas... well i noticed this one BLACK celica and passed it up not thinking anything of it, until the dude pulls up to my left and i hear that familiar sound of a downshift: RAWR! dude turns on his dome light and throws up a five... so we go at it on the bay bridge heading eastbound... we must've raced like 5 times all the way to richmond... it was tight because this dude had a neon underbody kit and flipped it on while we were on the bridge... so we ended up mobbin on the freeway... haha... but yeah.

he could hang for a GT and me having a GTS with injen CAI.
tell me why he said he only had an HKS exhaust... you had an AEM license plate frame so i bet you had Intake too. why you gotta lie dude. haha. shit was tight though, it makes me hella excited to go to the nor cal celica meet coming up on the 19th... which i probably won't be able to make because of work. anyways, that's my story... just wanted to share. =]

whoa... on sunday night i might have seen the exact same celica! i saw him near bay shore blvd in SF. i noticed he had a gauge pillar with indiglo gauges too. possibly the same car?

racing on public roads it a bad idea. didn't think that 10 years ago but i've been in and seen enough to be extremely cautious. sure, you may be confident in your driving skills but you can't depend on nearby drivers being the same or even noticing you zip through lane changes.

for example, i was driving home from roseville to san mateo on mother's day. i was stuck in traffic most of the way but there was a stretch of open road on 80 near richmond. so i speed up to about 75-80. that's when i notice a slightly tricked sentra trying to keep up. as i'm cruising i notice in my rear view mirror the same car swerving back and forth in all the lanes, hitting the center divider 2 times and missing a few cars. then a full size truck zooms past me at about 90+. i assume the truck clipped the sentra or caused the driver to lock the brakes.

long story short, you can't always anticipate those around you. so, be careful and keep the reckless driving to a minimum.

yeah i know i shouldn't have been racing on the freeway or the bridge... and it being late night doesn't make any excuse but i guess i got caught up in the whole celica community vibe. just a friendly exhibition i guess...

i hear ya. just be careful because we wouldn't wanna hear about anything bad happening to another celi owner.
