I took out my spare tire just to eliminate some weight, but because it's no longer there, the cardboard kinda sags down. I still wanna be able to use the trunk to carry stuff around, but because the cardboard already sags, I'm not gonna be able to do this.
Just wondering what alternatives you guys have used to remedy this (not quite ready to put any speakers or subs on there yet, so that's not an option for me for now).

I had the exact same question in mind. Still kinda parnoid about gettin a flat tire though. My buddy told me to take out the board and just line the inside with carpet (He did it to his accord) but it sounds like a lot of work!!!

If you wanna keep the weight down subs are not the way to go LOL. Get some Blocks of foam and carve them out so they help it stay ridgid.

Some hard foam would be good as Rocketman suggested then you could put the stock carpet back on top and everything should be cool or you could check out designs of bridges and see the engineering methods of how they support a bridge. So in essence you could try to make a mini bridge in that area
