Celica Forums General Discussion General Im sooooo lucky!

So I go to off work and went home. There is a mile stretch between stop lights thats pretty close to home. I was driving my celica about 65 on the street and on the opposite side of the street there is a LAPD car parked in front of a store.
As I zoom by he stares at me and busts a U and starts following me. I turn left and then right towards home. He then stops me about two houses away from where I park. He comes to me and tells me the usual, (I pulled you over because you were speeding).
I didnt argue with him because I knew what I did. He and his partner start writing the ticket and when he comes over he sais This is your lucky day, Im not going to give you a speeding ticket. Im going to give you a fix it ticket. Its for some stuff that I have hanging in my rear view mirror. BOY WAS I LUCKY!!!. That would have been my 3rd ticket in a year. I dont know what happened cause I barely talked and never argued.
But of course lesson learned.

you should have learned your lesson after the first ticket, maybe the second ticket, but three tickets in one yr

if you feel like going fast, take it to a track, or get on a long isolated road that is out in the middle of no where. my insurance is already high, i don't need people like you making it go up

I believe in most states, its illegal to have objects hanging from your mirror. This includes those fluffy dice, handcuffs, etc.

I have my company parking permit hanging. I thought its was all godd, cause isn't that what their made for?

^^maybe he just decided to be a nice guy...instead of giving you the speeding ticket, he found something very minor to ticket you for since he pulled you over.

Well I was coming from work in a tie. Maybe that helped.
But whatever it was, I was lucky. I just paid off a carpool violation about 1 month ago. can't say it enough.

Actually for me it was usinig the carpool lane on the onramp. Didn't want to wait in the long line. I was also lucky there. I think carpool violations go for $270 the lease. Mine was $140 but since Im paying for traffic school it will come out to about $200 or so.

LOL 3 tickets in a year hehe when I drove my old moped I got 3 a week they don't like it when you drive 100 km/h on a moped that is alowed to go 30 even cars are only alowed 50 in those area's ahh well.. you'll learn it sometime I geuss as soon as the pockets are getting more empty

i heard here in Utah the carpool violation ticket has hit around $500-800. very serious around here

hahah you got lucky...i had a cop pull me over once for something i cant remember he said "i was gonna give you a ticket but my partner saw ur last name and noticed ur filipino, he told me not to give you a ticket" hahaha his partner said that because he was filipino as well..

I was using the carpool lane entrance for a long time. But after I got caught I stopped. The first speeding ticket I got was weird. I was driving on the 10E at about 5am, it was dark then, and I saw a camaro behind me. Since it was dark, I started speeding up to get away, and he kept following me. After a few minutes, I got scared and then... I saw the lights go up. I was like "WTF?" I didn't know what to say, and because it was my first ticket I didn't do anything. Damn, I couldn't believe that a camaro CHP would stop me in city freeways. Don't they live in the desert or something?

as long as they aren't re-rebuilding the freeway, the carpool lane runs from around 6th north to 10600 south.
