yeah they mostly make Intakes from trucks n shit. My friend has a K&N in his tacoma. It's not too bad, but I wouldn't put it in a celica. They basically specialize in trucks n shit.

^^^ Way off base, K&N is one of the biggest names in Intake systems for all makes of cars. Over last two years the have really beefed up there import Intake line. Before that K&N mostly just had kits for domestic cars and trucks.
You can trust K&N 100%, they come a very detailed install guide and very high quality parts. Matter of fact K&N makes the TRD filter.

i did some tests back in the early development stages of the TPR Intake with a K&N vs an Ebay filter. I hooked up an OBD-II reader to the OBD output next to the steering column and read the MAF readings throughout the RPM band. The K&N actually came out below the ebay (like about 3-5 grams/sec) which was rather interesting, however the filter appeared dirty so I dont know if the readings were all that accurate. Food for thought
TPR Intake! - Injens high end with AEM's low end and NO BOGGING! TPR EXHAUST! - Exhaust made 10.5 whp peak and 32 whp at 6300 on my car!!!

yeah because i have to get a new Intake mine sucks i got it from a local company and im not happy with it at all, so just wanted some opinions on the typhoon. i knew K&N filters were top notch just didnt know how the rest of the products were, you know sometimes that happens when a company tries to expand their product line and its not as good as what they specialize in... but thanks

Food for thought well if i take my k&n off im sure my car wil register more air lol a single piece of cheese cloth has better filtering capabiltys then a ebay filter (i.e. no namer) not to mention in my old car i had one lol and the wire mesh rusted k&n have a million mile warrenty
hey thats a 20 minute phone call "if i have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" derek: do you know that non dairy cream is flamable Jennie: ...derek..what did you do

They also make a cold air induction system (called Typhoon also... I think) if you want to go that way instead of the short ram. And K&N are the best IMO.

If your really looking for Performance and drivability, i would recommend the new TPR Intake, its not supposed to bog like every other Intake on the market, your MAFS is able to read the correct amount of air. I'd recoomend buying a K&N filter to go with the Intake. I'm just waiting for a conventional U-Bend short ram from TPR and i'm gonna stick one of the new K&N X-Stream filters on it.

I think if you get the can shaped one and not the cone, it would fit. Not sure tho.

I got it. It's awesome. No CEL at all. I know there are some on here that get the CEL and a rare few that don't, but I haven't had any probs. with mine. Plus if you like that loud sucking noise when you shut the car off, it's got that too.
