Celica Forums General Discussion General lean/rich-air/fuel ratio gauge question

I just installed an autometer C2 (cobalt) air/fuel ratio gauge this morning and it sweeps from dissapearing past the lean to the 2nd or 3rd light above rich.

I don't know if it's supposed to sweep to that extent-my cel comes on saying it's too lean, but it runs rich when driving-

I'm planning on cleaning the MAF sensor, but anyone had a gauge like this?

i dont think it is acurate tho.

I jUST INSTALLED IT THE OTHER DAY.. When is it at idle its supposed to say lean, cause the gas is not being pussed. But when you are driving it is supposed to go up to rich or stoich. If you rev it will light up red ,yellow, then green.

I guess my main question is "is it supposed to sweep that much? I just cleaned my maf sensor-the cel hasn't come back on yet, but I don't know if the lights are supposed to stay around one area or if they're supposed to sweep.

I have that gauge as well and mine "sweeps" all the time... I believe it's normal
