sinse you have a 00 gts, your rev limiter is 8350... go out, make sure the engine is up to temp... and then try...
yup 2002 have the lower rev limit(7800-8000) also all auto trans stops at redline because the computer wont let you rev past that(safety feature or something)
ya, you were right about the engine warming up, i turned on the car and reved, it hit 7000, then i drove around and it warmed up to a good temp, i got into 1st, from light to light and i got the 1st gear rev up to 8200-8400 , sound right?
