Yes i painted them blue. The color was dupli-color royal blue. It was the only color that came close to matching the factory color.

To answer the ? about what rims i have, i have 17" Konig theory's in gunmetal and thinking about the new Konig troubles to replace my theory's.

Ok heres the how to on the TYC brand taillights only.

1st. Get your pair or buy a pair of TYC taillights.

2nd. Remove the 4 screws on the back side of the housing. Once that has been done they will look similar to this.

3rd. You will need a heat gun to remove the rubberseal that holds the inner piece to the plastic piece. Once removed the squar reflector will fall out. Be carefull with the small round reflector it is glued in.

4th. After that i suggest wet sanding the piece to remove the gunmetal or chrome look they put onto it. Once done with that you can then color match or even give it a carbon fiber look to it. With mine i went with color matching.

5th. Once you have the desired look you are after then you reasemble the product. The type of sealent i used you can pick up from a windshield repair shop. It worked really well to seal the taillights back up and also waterproof.

WARNING!!! Do not i repeat do not use a razorblade with the rubber sealent it is way to hard of a material to try and cut away. Well at least mine was. If you you do try to cut the sealent away you will end up with something like this if not worse.

All in all the modification is really easy to do. You can do this in 2 days or depending on the weather maybe in 1 day. Also the main production plant for TYC in taiwan has asked me for ideas for our taillights and i suggested having a paintable bezel like they do for the honda accord and i also suggested a new style projectors. So now im just waiting for their response. Ill let you know what they tell me.

Im planning on replacing them now. Once i get the new projectors from lusionlabs im gonna get the black TYC tails to go with the black housing projectors. But im still debating weather or not to redo them blue.
