I'm a big exotic fan actually, thats why I like the kit and the color. I enjoy Ferrari's a bunch and dream of a 355 some day. At this point though, the looks dept isn't that important to me anymore and I've turned more into a gear head.. these days this car is going through a seriuos transformation. The exterior will stay because the kit is completely molded, but the interior is being stripped and the seats and such removed. I plan to remove all systems except power steering. Hopefully I'll drop it another 200lb's... this is a swap after all and I did it because I don't have the weight of an alltrac with an AWD tranny, rear diff, etc. Its around a 500lb difference, I went with FWD and light weight on purpose.

my thoughts exactly... that's a time consuming project stripping the interior but hope everything goes well - good luck with it

once you do it a few times it's not all that hard. lol

looks nice! so, lets here about the important stuff whats under the hood, track times etc... and if you need a host for your vids still let me know

Ya.. trust me.. the kit gets old lol. But its not worth it to replace it since its all molded to the car. There is a very nice plus side to that bumper though.. gives me a great unobstructed opening for a front mount intercooler. Even if I where to have an RC GT4 bumper, its not as open as that one.

Thanks for the comments guys.. after all is said and done I plan on getting to Sebring this next year and taking some schooling and eventually working up to being a regular track driver. I don't think I'll ever compete and if I did this would not be the car to do it in. But none the less, the FWD is very forgiving to learn on and I know the car inside and out.

5th gen GTS, doesnt get anybetter man.

Its a 2nd gen 3S-GTE.. no internal work at this time. Its already fast enough, but I have gone to an upgraded stock Turbo known as a 60-1. Where the stock Turbo use to die at around 6400rpm.. the car pulls widly fast now up to redline at 7250. I planned on cams and such and eventually maybe even a stand alone, but I realize I don't need faster and I honestly don't want to go faster. It holds its own with even modded Supra's and LT1's. I've spanked my fair share of C5's, M3's, 240 SR20's, MR2's, 350Z's.. etc.

The front mount intercooler helped quite a bit, the stock unit was a top mount which would heat soak (i.e. the scoop was functional but not anymore). This gave me a great bit more pep in the lower RPM's before boost kicked in. Though with the upgraded Turbo the power characteristics changed drastically. Now where there is a feeling of even and gradual increase in power over the RPM band with it eventually topping max hp in the upper RPM bands on the 60-1. With the stock CT26 it had great mid RPM range power but died off drastically in the upper RPM's. I did sacrifice lower RPM hp, but if I wanted low end power I would have gone with an AWD alltrac.

loads of other goodies.. oil cooler, oil filter relocator, 3" downpipe to 2.5" exhaust, straight 3" Turbo inlet. So many little things I've done its hard to even remember lol.

EDIT: oh ya.. someone asked. I ran a 13.6 on the stock Turbo and top mount intercooler at Gainesville 1/4 mile track with a 106mph trap. This was after 3 tries all in the mid to upper 13's on a cool winter night. This was off of a horrible 0-60ft time which is to be expected with FWD. I consider 1/4 mile running a waste personally though.. I'm going to a real track and I don't care to keep putting it on the 1/4 mile track because its extreme abuse on the FWD tranny. I do wonder what kind of time I could pull with the 60-1 and the front mount in similar conditions, but not interested enough because things break and I've had enough problems already with things breaking without hitting the 1/4 mile.
