Right now I have Limo tint on the back three windows, and I was wondering if I should tint the front two windows (driver / passenger). I went to a tint shop today and they told me 60 for both windows. What percent tint would look good (not too dark, but still enough for privacy) on the front?

I was also wondering if it's tint that people had installed on the top part of the front winshield matching the color of the car. How much does that cost to do? Right now the top of my front winshield looks like regular tint and I don't really like the purplish look it has. (It came with the car when I bought it) There's a picture in my profile.

Thanks thumbsup

They probably said 60% because that's slightly darker than CA legal (70%).

Most people here seem to think that 35-40% looks good up front. I'm going 35% myself.

i read somewhere that any window tint up front is ilegal(CA), so i just tinted all of my windows limo. I figured if i was going to get pulled over and given a ticket to fix my windows later i might as well tint the front as dark as the back so it matches and looks great. took a while to get used to driving at night though

CA legal is 70% in front, anything you want in back.

I'm getting mine 35% all the way around, cause thats what's legal in MA. I figure when I'm done with the car I'll have enought o be hastled about, I don't need the tints on top of it. Besides that, I'm moving out to cali...so that should be interesting...

Cool, 35% sounds good. I think I might go do this within this week. Thanks for you input guys smile

This is what I'm talking about. If you look at this person's celica he/she has silver tint or something across the top of the front winshield. Does anyone know if I can get that done at any tint shop?
