I go to Mt. Sierra College which was formed by several ppl from Devry that didn't like what they were doing. The skool is ok, but don't expect to meet a lot of girls.

went to devry
i dont think its worth itas far as devry go teachers sux, classes are the same as any junior college. techears tend to be lazy when it comes in homework they want everything done electronically.they ask a lot of work for a little bit of time.as far as there promise that they gaurantee you a job is a big bull. obviously companies will want to hire 4.0+gpa students. i have friends who graduated with a B average and they work at lowes on the sales floor spineyes
so if you think your up to the challnge go for it but personally they offer nothing a 4yr university/2 yr jr college wouldnt offer.i just went back to a regular college and finished my degree. now i owe 6grand on loans because of devry, waste of time and money.

there are no guarantees in life other than getting taxed and dying. I work at a bank doing what I learned in college. Even tho it started it out as an internship, I earned a full time position. Mt. Sierra is not like Devry or ITT.

i graduated lincoln tech about 7 months ago...now making over 15 an hour for help desk work...and im only 19...so..i mean LTI aint that bad, dunno bout devry and all that, lincoln tech places you in a job before you graduate, its actually a graduating requirement that you HAVE to be placed in a job before they let you go

I've heard negative feedback about those type of schools.
I wanted to go there, but because the commercials made it seem interesting. I really thought about it before I signed the loan paper. Then I thought, that is a lot of money, and I don't want to be in debt. So I told the guy that I will call him back, I never did.

Hey I am planning on going to UTI after I get back from Iraq.
My buddie is going there right now, he says that he is learning a lot. Likes how his teacher bullshits with him and can take jokes
He has had an offer from Nissan starting at 11 hr and he hasn't graduated yet.
I hope the jobs given are as good as the commercials shown, because I am worried that I won't make enough money being amechanic.
I am home for R&R next week and he'll be in town to meet me, I'll ask him if it's worth it.

Cool...i would like to know more about it. In my auto class we had this guy from UTI come down and talk to us, and it sounded really sweet. I just want to hear it from actual students.

I'm currently going to ITT Tech for Web Development. I wouldn't say it's the best school, some classes are a waste of time. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't of picked ITT Tech just because of the boring classes and price. thumbsdown

the thing with ITT is that its only 2 days a week, so i can still keep working full time. for a 2 year accociates degree its 30 grand, then if you want a bachelors i think you just do it online afterward. there really isnt anything i can say i really want to do so i think thats why ITT sparked my interest.

you guys are under-estimating the price of an education. if you wanna make good money, you gotta pay your dues and with a lil experience, coming out of a tech school could be one of the best things that could've happened.

With any type of schooling, you have to get some if not a lot of experience in the given market.

Even if you were to educate yourself from this school and not have people skills or the experience to back it up, it will be tough to land a good job.

i went to itt tech and had very little bookwork it was all practical.

now would i have picked it over a 4 yr college degree mayeb if i was going for hte same degree.

but i have bachelours in electronics engineering technology.

was goin to pen state for the sem thing and was learnign a ton of useless shit that was of no importance to my degree. so i left and went to itt. was cheaper than it is now but still way cheaper than a real college.

paid 25k nad had everything. college at the time was 30k adn no boks or anythign else included.so for me it was the right choice is it for anyone else prolly not. but thats why i fix copiers instead of nuclear warheads.

will i go back to school prolly but for sumtin else. tired of working with electronics.
