Always curious, but I don't want to test it, on the auto's they ahve the "F1" wheel thingamabob that you can shift with. "M-Mode" I think. Does the car have a rev-limiter (2003) or is it the same as any manual? It seems to be clutchless as you don't need to lift to shift.

You can indeed bounce the needle off the limiter without it upshifting. It has a rev limiter, the same as any car (auto or manual)... but it won't upshift automatically at that point, just cuts off the engine for a second.

Mine doesn't force the upshift, if I floor it and it hits red line, it'll just keep bouncing off until I let off the gas and allow an upshift. I drive a 5th gen though. (Because they are superior) hehe =D

any car has a limiter. hitting the limiter doesnt really damage the engine. limiter is there for a purpose, cz a gts engine could be revved higher than stock with ecu mod. i wouldnt recommend it bouncing it too much though.

yeah it has rev limiter. But for auto gts, the redline is still at 7800 rpm, but sticks have like 8350 rpm redline. So if you are using the m-mode, shift around 7400 rpm so it will shift at 7800 rpm, it takes while for it to shift, about half of sec. And if you put it on regular mode, it will shift way lower than shift it yourself, it will shift around 7300 rpm. So m-mode is much faster than regular mode.
