Ok, so many have heard of the XS engineering Turbo kit, and some of the problems with it. Well surfing earlier today, I found that another company was developing one. JRP is currently working on a complete Turbo kit. According to the companies website, they pulled an approximately 295WHP out of the first dyno run. The also needed to make other mods, such as a better flowing exhaust, and some small fuel adjustments. Please tell me what you think. Currently, there is no price listed.

Here is the website:

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

Also, on the JBL website, there is a small movie clip of the first dyno run. All in all, i think that it sounds sweet.

"it should be noted that the combination of products used in this kit are capable of producing up to 350+ HP. Engine reinforcement and other modifications would be necessary to achieve those figures. "

don't forget the little print thumbsup their car is most likely not on stock internals.

XS Turbo:
complete system consists of a ball bearing IHI VF23 Turbocharger, a huge 24"x11"x3" XS Engineering Power IC, durable cast iron manifold, and APEXi Twin chamber blow off valve. If that wasn't enough, the XS Engineering Celica Turbocharger system also comes with full stand alone fuel management, consisting of 504cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and an XS Engineering tuned APEXi Power FC.

Max Power = 250.0hp @ 8200 RPM
241WHP
Max Tourque = 183.4ft. lbs. @ 6600 RPM

price 5000.00

JRP Turbo:
t3/t4 Turbo
exturnal Turbosmart ultragate
turbosmart type II blow of value
stainless steel tubular manifold
precision intercooler
steel downpipe
tuneable engine mangement
larger injectors

(so far)

295hp at 7-9 psi projected is 350hp

i think that the xs is way over priced for the whole kit with 241 whp which is not outstanding especially for $5000. also i'm unsure about their Turbo it's self, seem tiny. while the jrp has the t3/t4 Turbo which is sick, has more hp gain with out an Apexi power fc (which xs includes). i'm saving and waiting for the jrp Turbo. tasty grin

SF kit with power fc and stock internals made 277 whp and 204 wtq wave on 9 lbs of boost and stock injectors as well. rofl

I dont trust the JRP dynos cause I dont think they were using a stock internal motor. could be wrong but who knows. somebody will have to let us know when they get it thumbsup
