if you worry then just get the TPR(not carb legal) which won't give you any problem..plus i heard you can turn it into a shortram too..pm easy_c for more info..plust it's only 150+shipping for color tube..more for polished tube..
I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with their Injen Short Ram and CEL. You'd have to practically install it backwards to have any such problems. I installed mine myself several months ago (with NO clue what I was doing) and I've had nothing bad to say.

Does the Ingen Heat Shield work with the Short Ram on the GTS? I talked to a shop and they said something like it doesn't work with it or fit... the guy was a lil hard to understand...

There is no real reason to put on a heatsheild you arent really saving anything.
