My AEM CAI came yesterday, but ofcourse the mailman didnt ring the doorbell, just left it at the door, so it was there all day while i was watching reruns of judge judy, when i finally decided to go just look for the hell of it, the f'n thing was there, i about kicked myself in my head. lol anyways it was here!!! Ripped it outta the box (was in too much of a hurry to take pics while installing srry.. but heres what it looks like installed. The cutout from the fenderwell was easy too, this is all you can see from under the fender (the blue thing) Only real problem i had was getting the lower vent in for the ecu, still have it in sorta crooked, but it's deffently not gunna fall out, tried grinding it, tried lube, nothing would make it go in all the way, but its in there... so imma prolly file the fan shroud hole later to make it fit. Boxed my old shit back up incase i need it for winter ...three things left to do, place the AEM deal... ...dispose of the POS license plate frame they ship with it... ... and lastly take pics of my painted brakes i did last week...

make sure to get that piece in properly - you should hear it snap into place... just use a small hammer and gently tap it in

heh just broke it because it was cheap ass plastic, and was warped anyways... yea i cleaned my MAF and tighetened my throtle cable.
Erick - Imma do that mod when it gets closer to winter, i would do it now but it's a pain to get that inner fender on and off.
tanks for the info about the block of wood, imma try that tomorrow, if i can find a small enough piece...
Overall there is a very noticable difference at high RPM, you can feel that the engine is no longer starving for air as it tops out one gear shifting to the next

I keep my Injen plate on the back of my car because it covers up the registration stickers on the license plate and I'm curious how long I can go before a cop busts me for it. It's been like 9 months and no problems, s'all good Intake looks good

I like the painted brakes and AEm Intake but I dont like the AEM decal on ur car
Some of the ugliest things took the longest time to make And some of the easiest habits are the hardest one's to break!!!

Not the thin flimsy ones for 1 gallon but the thick ones for a 5 gallon. Just ask them for one say your dad needs another one or something. I was laying on the ground dead tired, so close to finishing the install that i just decided to bang it in there but doing it semi safly with that wood. Seeing as the grain of the wood was in my favor everythign worked out great
