http://www.kumosport.com/Just wondered if it was worth the $25, or if I just need to go with a short shifter. Thoughts?

They are just new bushings for your shifter, those things are becoming very popular over seas lately, I've never used them, and i doubt very many of us have, but i've heard they work.

Hey thanks for the reply! I figured for $25 I might give em a try but wanted some opinion from the experts on this site.

I HAVE THEM!!!!!...they work great!!! basically, your shifter bushings are rubber...the kumosport ones are solid. your shifter doesn't have as much play in it afterward...if I put it into gear, there is no play AT ALL!! its definitely worth it, because it keeps things so firm, that you won't have any mis-shift problems...you can really feel exactly where the shifter is going...its definitely worth the $25.00

^^^^ Dude don't pay someone to intall them. It is only a couple of screws to get you center console apart Even someone with no mechanical skill could even do this install

if you take off the shift boot and look down you see the big hunk of white plastic that hold shifter and linkages and on that plastic theres 4 bolts take them out and the rubber pieces and replace with the solid bushings and bolt back in take you 5 minutes

when you buy a trd shifter, does it come with better bushings, or do you recommend these bushings on them?

yeah, they go in the center console...and replace the rubber bushings holding the plastic shifter housing down...it comes with directions, and is easy as all hell to install...it even provides you with a tool list so you don't have to keep stopping. IT took me about 35 minutes to take it apart, take the crap bushings out, put the new ones in, and put everything back together. (if you lift the shifter after removing the bolts that secure it to the floor, they will pull out from the bottom by hand)...its really super easy, and makes your shifting super crisp
