I was flipping the channels last night and I heard that there is a special on undercover speed traps. These cops disguise themselves as hobos, construction workers, golfers, I guess anything they want and then catch speeders. Im not for speeding, because It damn Dangerous, but undercover speed traps? Has anybody heard of this?

Yea around here, cops have nothing to do, but sit and wait at for someone to speed. They also have a bunch of undercover cars which look like normal cars instead of cops, and they pullover who they see fit. when cops do their job, thast great, but when they just sit at a stop sign behind a bush...thats just ridiculous.

here they just bring on more friggin cops...the State patrol is really bad now...adn they have unmarked cars out the crapper...but than again, according the the national office of highway saftey Georgia has the highest interstate speeds in the country...the sign says 65 but you won't get pulled over unless you are doing 80 or better...anything between 75 - 80 mph and you are just keeping up with traffic and not causing a wreck...we come up on cops on the highway all the time...they are doing around 70, and most of everyone I ever see either keeps up, or creeps by very slowly, keeping up with everyone else...its crazy!!!

yea...cops fucking suck in GA. Friend just got arrested for reckless driving. Been pulled over 9 times and have gotten 1 ticket so far. I'm lucky, most cops are good guys minus some ass-holes. ALso, Cops speed like a mother and I've seen some cops use their lights to get through traffic...

Cops stopping crime Cops giving out tickets for going over the speed limit by 5mph Yeah, they need to spend more time stopping crime and less time pulling over people for minor stuff.

ALso, Cops speed like a mother and I've seen some cops use their lights to get through traffic... Ive been arrested for reckless driving. i admit it was stupid and it was totally my fault. But it was like 9:45pm in the back parking lot of my old work (super-market). I had jsut gotten off work. And 95% of the time that back way is totally deserted, only occassionally do cars pass by. So i thought what the hell, i'll have some fun. Wrong night to have some fun. I pulled out, and as i made a left turn, i yanked the parking-brake. i did a nice clean 180, i was like sweet, until i look over to my right and a cop pulls up flashes lights, and then to my left and another cop pulls up. So im stuck. Worst night of my life. In court i got it down from Reckless Driving (Misdamenor) to exhibition of speed (Infraction), which i guess is better. I ended up paying like $360 fine and 2 point on my driving record. It really sucks. What made it worse is that the cop put on the police report that i was doing donuts, yeah in my FWD Celica. But i learned from my mistake. Moral...dont do donuts in a Celica...

Cops can pretty much do whatever they want, as long as they have their flashers on.
But I've heard of people putting cops under citizens arrest.

I don't see a reason to get a ticket doing donuts in the parking lot as long as theres nobody around, but I don't make the law, so don't know.

i think cops have some sort of qouta to reach at the end of the month so thats prolly where most of the BS tickets come from: crossing the street, having music a lil loud, loud Intake,

Especially when they need more funds and etc. Is like this: "My shift is over in about 1 hour and I need about $100 bucks more in tickets, what am I to do?" "OO look, there's a few parked cars with their wheel unturned towards the curb, jackpot!"
