17...

Just under $450/month car payment. ('04 Celi GTS)
And about $93/month insurance (My Celi is rated on one of the older drivers in the house, I'm rated on a 93-94 Oldsmobile tongue )
Barely cutting it (and gas) with two jobs (raise soon, woot!).

My mom's actually paying in extra on the monthly payments, as she wants to get it paid off ASAP so she can buy a car wink

Once the car's paid for, I have to pay her back for what she put in to it, including the 2k of the down she put in... But, withOUT interest wink

cool

I'm 44. I just got an '04 GTS. I've always wanted a Celica, and started talking seriously with a dealership after I found out it was being discontinued. They made me a good deal, so I went ahead and got it. I don't have any pics to post yet. I'm really happy I got it, but also pissed off at Toyota for discontinuing it.

Having more money and a good credit history means you can just get the car you want when the occasion arises, an advantage of being "older". Also, I think the younger drivers tend to be the active posters on this website, so you're getting a biased picture of who actually drives and enjoys Celicas. The Celica is certainly not just a "young person's" car, but it does help if you're young at heart.
