Do you think it's true that you're waaay less likely to be pulled over when it's raining? I've always thought of this as an unwritten law (knock on wood). Anybody ever been pulled in a downpour?

Why do you ask who I am? I'm someone who wants to know what others think the likelihood of someone getting pulled over in the rain.

Could be. Something that's also interesting is maybe the shape of the vehicle. I'm in military, and on my last ship which was a destroyer, the whole design of the ship is constructed around the idea of radar deflection. Deflection in the sense that the signature returned to the radar sender is different than that which is true. I wonder if auto designers take this idea into account when designing the exterior body contour. Or maybe it's just a cowinkydink. Would be cool to have a car shaped as to send radar off into a totally different direction. Hmmm, I wonder.

i wonder how much interference the laser gets with rain enough to deviate a measurement...of course this is highly dependant on the amount of precip falling and the size of the precip. fog will also reduce effectiveness of laser and radar. doesn't mean they wont work just means they are reduced in range of accuracy...high frequencies are susceptible to "bounce" off sufficiently hard or solid surfaces...lower frequencies will have better penetration...this it why cell companies are excited the FCC is to release the "buffer" frequecies between TV and radio so reception will become better in basements and large buildings. I am always careful in the rain...I try not to go fast in rain...So I dont worry about cops during rain of fog

why would you want to speed in a downpour? It's pointless and hazardous.

your theory is probably correct, but probably because no one will drive 90 in a heavy downpour unless they are mentally unstable...

or do a splendid RWD spinout into a telephone pole speeding to catch you around that wet corner. That's what I call a real desperate cop who wants to copy everything he sees which includes that stripper on the pole the night before.
I get my kicks on EC.

Wait, hold on, if my measurments are correct, and if a go fast enough, with enough rain, they cant catch me on radar, and oh yeah, my car will deflect radar beams, so faster+rain+stealth celica=no cops, oh, but here comes that tree!! I bet you didnt see that coming, or will your stealth celi, delfect taht too!!!

Where I live cops have no problem pulling people over in the rain. I've seen it several times.
