Recently I've noticed occassionally that under heavy braking the steering wheel shakes considerably, like the car wants to go off course. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the ABS system, more braking pressure being applied to one wheel than the other.
I've recently put two new front tyres on my car, and had them balanced and the tracking done. So I know its not this.
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED ANYTHING SIMILAR?

It's your brake rotors, they are warped. Same thing happened to me in my old car.

time for new rotors. You might want to check the pads for uneven wear, too.

Not sure about being covered either, Brakes/ pads, rotors are a iffy subject about warrenty work, they can say that you beat on them, or didn't change your pads in time or some stupid shit like that, good luck with it though

How many miles are on your car? You may not have to "buy" new rotors, you can have them resurfaced. They resurface the face of the rotor and it will do away with the pulsation. You typically want to replace your pads also when you resurface them, but if they aren't worn too badly you don't have to. I just had the same problem. I had the dealer resurface the rotors, kept the same pads and everything is fine now.

Hey man, i had that problem, i just took it to the dealer, and they said i had about 80% worn brake rotors, and that they need to rotate the tires because my yokohams are getting "soft"? They also told me they needed to do the 15K maintance for $179...id suggest you go get your problem fixed before you run out of brakes like i almost did!

it comes to a point that you cant resurface ur rotors cz they are too messed up. im assuming ur not gonna be able to get ur rotors resurfaced, so new rotors might approximately cost you 50 each. or else you can go with slotted rotors so you can prevent rotors bends in the future. ur rotors basically bended from intense braking/heat basically. it wont be covered under warranty IMO unless you have very few miles on the rotors.

Could be your rotors have them reshaped, if not time to get some new ones!... Hope everything turns out ok for ya.

I've only done 11,500 miles. Its a 'performance' car. IMO the discs should be designed to take a beating, or at least more than 11,500 miles worth. I'm often braking hard at 130mph+ though, which could have made a significant difference.

I have the same problem sometimes when braking heavy but I don t drive at warp 9 and break hard. I think the rotors are just defective it does happen you know. Stock parts aren't always the best even TRD parts.

I haven't noticed any shaking or vibration over the last day or two. This obviously rules out warped discs. I'm guessing its an intermittent problem then and something to do with the ABS system.
Also it says 130mph in the quote if you look, not warp factor nine. Read more carefully next time.
