Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Need Help... I got a lot of problems!

Aight guys, I had my GTS for 9 months and now its starting to act weird on me. Maybe you can help me out? Ok here it is!

1. When I shift gears the clutch pedal doesn't feel smooth from when I first had it. It feels like its grinding or vibrating. It just feel uncomfortable, but when not in gear its fine (smooth).

2. Also, When I shift gears (usually in second), it makes a sqeeking sound, its very noticeable from the outside.

3.Only when I start up my car and start to go slowly (forward or reverse) I hear something like a spring pop from the right side. Its not loud but i can notice it. Happens all the time but I can't figure it out.

I just notice these recently except #3 (that happend for a while)and I have no current mods. Has any of these problem ever happen the you guys. I already made an appointment with the dealer but just some info before i bring it it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

did you buy it new? you should let toyota check it out but I think it's something with the clutch

1. could be a number of things but it's obviously related to the clutch (shift spring) and/or transmission (maybe synchros).

2. your shift linkage probably needs lubrication

3. early 7th gen had issues with brake calipers (tsb reports). if within b2b warranty greasing the calipers helped with the noise for 6 months to a year.

nah I have a 2003, bringing it to the dealer this week.
