How To Remove or Install Front Seats
By Isaac DeCoursey @ EverythingCelica.com

This project was quite easy, only four bolts and they are in obvious locations.

Removal:

* Slide the seat all the way forward...

* Using a screwdriver, remove the "seat track covers"
(hint: tape the screwdriver tip before use - so as to not damage the plastic covers)

* Remove the two rear bolts...

* Now slide the seat all the way back...

Installation:
* Mount the front seat to the vehicle.

* Connect the connectors under the seat.

* Slide the seat to the front-most position.

* Tighten the bolts on the rear side temporarily, starting from the bolt on the inner side tighten them completely (torque 37 N-m, 375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

* Slide the seat to the rear-most position to install the bolts on the front side (torque 37 N-m, 375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

* Install the seat track overs.

And you're done thumbsup

Skim through this post...

They were Celica GTS seats reupholstered in Sparco material. The funny thing about that install was that while side air-bags were still functional, there was no place to plug them in, on the GT.

theres no real answer in that post, so was the upholstery done by him or a shop?

i ask because if it was done by him, i just wanted to see if a write-up existed (if there is one)

otherwise, i guess ill have to stick with these kinda worn out stock leather seats

It's the 4th line in the post I linked to, "Carkraft in Southern California."
