I took my 2000 gts (59.3k miles) into the dealership on wednesday night regarding the 'lift bolt' problem, i gave them the TSB number, and i come to pick it up because they tell me it is ready, but i find out that they did not do a damn thing! I fought with them for 2 hours about replacing the bolt, but it came down to them telling me the mechanic did not find anything wrong with my car regarding the lift bolt TSB, therefore could not do anything. Now, what should i do!! I'm taking it to another dealership, but is there something else i should tell them? I really did act professional and laid out fact after fact...they just don't listen...I know some of you have gotten the dealership to change em out, what did ya'll say!?
aDAM: TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER, and call toyota's service line at (800) 331-4331...they will fix everything. Then I recommend either getting the lift bolts, and following one of the install guides, or taking it to another dealer...PM me if you need my help bro...
They didn't charge me anything except for those long two hours of arguing with three different people...I would change them myself, but if i'm covered under warantee, i would rather not fuck around with it...i called another dealership and they said they could diagnose it on monday, but what if they find nothing wrong with it either!?
Yeah it's like that at all dealerships. They call it replicating the "problem". If they can't make it do anything "wrong" then they'd rather spend two hours arguing over something than the 30 minutes it would take to fix it. BASTARDS!
