In like 2 years i was planning on getting a STi. But after seeing that video of the 3sgte in the multimedia section i started thinking about doing that engine swap. Ive looked around and a local shop can do the swap for about 15 grand with tuning and everything which is about how much more i would have to fork out after i sold my celi. So what do you think. Please put some thought into this and dont just say the celica. This would most likely be my daily driver also.
well since its ur daily driver.. i would choose the swap juss because the sti doesnt have a/c, radio and shiz like that... but wutever choice you make im sure its for a good reason
This is going to be your daily driver. Plus, if the swap takes the place of your next car... I'm assuming you'd have to then keep the Celi for 3-4 more years. A car THAT heavily modded, as a daily driver... and keeping it as a d/d for THAT long? Not a good idea. It's going to be awesome, but a massive headache.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you

Yeah, it's gonna wind up costing you an arm and a leg to maintain it, and you won't get a warranty with it.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force...number one in the hood, G
if you dont want a radio and a/c then go ahead and get an sti. have you considered a wrx, non sti, because id really like to have a radio and a heater. does it snow in cincinatti?
if you have some money to spare and be unique and surprise everyone, 3sgte swap will be way worth it. as a daily driver, an sti would be more comfortable, 4 doors, newer, and all that. remember ur celica will have horrible resale value and very hard to sell if its modified like that

roll your window down and install a cd player. done deal.

ya really, the STi is a better choice. if your going to drive one responibly anyway you don't need distractions like a radio. And you can always install one too.

ok so i didnt kno!!!! damn you dont have to post 3 times to tell me... get the sti because 3sgte isnt a good daily driver and resale value aint that great
its only an option though isnt it????? the one that i almost got didnt have radio but i think it had ac. you could get radio and armrest shit installed as a factory option though.
"You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your f------ khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world."
then why the hell didnt the one that i was gonna get have a radio. even the book on the car was talking about how it left out the radio, speakers and floor mats to achieve very low weight.
thats gotta be it then, but thats gay. they're taking away from the race feel of the STI. Next thing you know its gonna have big leather seats and OnStar.
the 05 sti's i duno but im pretty sure the old ones dont have a radio and a/c... thx for keeping me up to date but seriously vsgts14, you only have to tell me once
do you even kno how hard it is to find an alltrac let alone being in good condition? may be a different story in cincinatti, but i say that alltracs are pretty damn rare

theyr not easy to find, but its not that hard. check ebay and you'l see some
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'
STI all the way...WARRANTY and reliability always will own over a highly pressured engine that a whole lot could go wrong on (especially cause its a custom job), and only a handful of people could actually work on (and that;s if you have the money to pay them
