Dual exhausts are tachy (spelling?). They don't help you Performance wise, infact they hurt your horsepower somehow. Has something to do with the flow of exhaust coming out and being forced out one pipe vs two. Just like headers. Sraight pipes perform better than curved ones. If you like the look of dual exhausts, get a TRD for your primary functional exhaust and buy a lookalike thats not hooked up . Otherwise, stick with just one.

dual is 90% a power loos. first it adds weight to ur car, and second from the smoke circulation in the exhaust to get it out of the system is gonna be tougher and take longer, which will lower ur exhaust. just think of it this way, you can shove two thin straws with curves on them in a pepsi can and drink off of it or have one thick straight straw and drink off of it. makes sense? no!

DUAL IS EXAUST IS POINTLESS.
Don't do that to a 4banger, you'll loose all back pressure and will have no go power. Think about it

Tacky...Thanks Virgil. Meaning looks cheap or bad in a humorous way. Like dual fatcan exhausts angled upward on a Nissan Maxima. No joke, saw it parked in the back of the lot at Best Buy in Oceanside. Its going to add a little weight having duals. Get a TRD exhaust system as your functional exhaust, like I said before, but buy a lightweight tip from local parts store that looks like a TRD tip. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Get the look of dual, but perfomance of one. I can't believe i've encouraged this . If you want dual, thats what you have to do.
